The Angels have the best use of fireworks in Baseball. I’m serious. I cannot think of “and the rockets red glare” without the fireworks going off. Because it makes sense. The fact that other teams don’t do that is sad.
I mean I haven’t been to all stadiums. But the Dodgers don’t do that. So there. They suck at that. They also don’t do fireworks as often as the Angels. This whole drone show stuff. Bleh. Angels have sat night fireworks every home sat night. Suck it Dodgers.
Anyway how did the actual team do? Well… Not good. Detmers, who has been on a roll do far, had a bit good game today. 5 innings giving up 4 runs on 6 hits striking out 5 and walking none.

Twins struck first with a double in the 3rd.
A groundout made it 2-0 in the 3rd.
A nice catch by Lowe stopped the bleeding.
But a hit in the 4th made it 3-0 Twins

But Detmers allowed a home run in the 5th.
No QS for Detmers. And the Angels were losing. But hey he can feild.
With Detmers only going 5, the bullpen had to hold the line for 4 innings. But it couldn’t. And Watson allowed a run in the 8th.
But the Angels do not give up. They score 2 on a pinch hit double by Frazier.
Mike Trout GIDP though so no more in the 8th.
It was going to be another loss… But NOT YET as Grissom tied the game in the 9th with a HOME RUN!
Off to extras, where the stress is ten fold. After getting a flyout to move the runner to 3rd, another flyout got the 2nd out but the runner went and OUT AT HOME!
With 2 on and 2 out, Neto had a chance to walk it off. He did not. Struck out looking. Onto the 11th.
Thankfully no runs in the 11th. So the Angels had a chance to walk it off again. And with the bases loaded and 2 outs, Moore WALKED IT OFF ANGELS WIN!
