In the second inning, Luis Rengifo scored one on a groundout.
Christian Moore made a nice shovel play to keep it 1-0.
Then Taylor Ward made it 2-0 with a homer.
Obviously, being up by two in the third inning is a good thing.
In the fourth Sebastian Rivero reached on an error scoring Oswald Peraza, which is pretty cool.. 3-0 Angels.
Randall Grichuk homered in the fourth to make it 3-1 Angels.
In the top of the seventh, the Royals got a hit by pitch (Mike Yastremski), a Jonathan India groundout that advanced Yastremski to second. Then Carter Jensen singled to make it 3-2 Angels.
Nolan Schanuel walked and Yoan Moncada doubled to create one of the best Angels scoring opportunities of the game. Jo Adell struck out to end the inning. I’m sure he meant well.
Nothing happened in the eighth inning. 3-2 Angels.
Strikeout, goundout, Kenley Jansen waved that one. Good enough is enough. Angels win 3-2.
