This did not amount to a “plan.” The Angels were only down 2-0 in the third inning.A Corey Seager single followed by an Adolis Garcia single, So what. Some other offense led to a 9-0 Texas lead. I guess that’s possibly a bad thing
The Angels did come up with a couple of runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on this Taylor Ward homer.
Logan O’Hoppe came up with nobody out and two on in the bottom of the sixth inning. He popped up for the first out. Luis Rengifo struck out but LaMonte Wade Jr. singled to drive in another run. 9-3 Rangers.
This led to nothing much because Zach Neto struck out to end the inning.
Nobody could do anything in the next inning.
In the top of the eighth inning, Adolis Garcia homered to score Marcus Semien. 11-3 Rangers. Not good.
Nothing happened in the Angels half of the eighth either.
Three Rangers were out in a row to bring up the Angels again. Zach Neto hit a homer to make it 11-4 Rangers.
Newman struck out. The Angels lost 11-4 against.
