The MFY are on a SoCal trip and it was a game I was not going to even bother going to. The price would be one thing but the Yankee fans… Ughh. Seriously, when can that team be bad? They last had a losing season in 1992. And yet their fans have the gall to say we shouldn’t hate them because Astros and Dodgers exist. You can hate more than one team you know.
Anyway, Jack Kochanowicz was on the mound tonight against these 2020s versions of the money bags, now with facial hair. He went 6 and 2/3 innings giving up 4 runs on 5 hits striking out 5 and walking 2. One bad inning can sink a start. Especially against a team like this.

That didn’t last. As the MFY scored 4 in the 4th. We don’t need to see that. 4-1 MFY. The short of it was that a walk with the bases loaded and a bases clearing triple. Bleh.
At least it was close. A 3 run lead is comeback-able. That is until the pitching allowed the 5th run on an error and. Sac fly. 5-1 MFY.

Anyway the Angels lose to the MFY 5-1. Boo.
