yea honestly Rada isn’t going to hit but Ward isn’t hitting either and Rada is an actual ball hawk I’ve heard.

It’s important to note on The pop up to Ward while he inexplicably took a step back while playing on the warning track. The fact that he was playing extreme no doubles deep is on the staff.
The outfield should
Only be that deep if that’s the winning run at first. Not in a 2 run game for precisely that reason. A bloop still hurts there.

yea whenever your range is the 10th row of seats if there wasn’t a fence, then you are putting your defense in a position where they get far fewer outs. Also with Wards lack of speed an arm, a ball to the part of the field where he gets to it without it rolling to the wall, the run is still scoring.

Exactly this and a Quick Look at Sheets spray chart shows exactly zero doubles to left center field. Zero as in not a single one. So literally no reason to have Ward holding up the wall in left center there.
