Well considering he signed a major league contract for $770,000 AND he has a minor league option remaining he will be taking alot more crappy at bats for this franchise at the Great Salt Lake.

The real beatings start in less than two weeks. Get ready to be outraged and flabbergasted and flummoxed and prolapsed about stupid GMs, coaches who can’t see what you see on TV, in game decision making, lifeless gritlessness, no sense of urgency, the scraps, bad fundamentals, players who should not be out there and of course making sure you and no one else gets fooled again when ever anyone starts playing well. PLUS! Injuries that the FO should have seen coming!
The growing pains are gonna grow more pain here soon. So if your fragile ego can’t take anymore of Arte’s fragile ego not respecting your incredible intelligence and high standards here’s your parachute. Time to take the leap.

So, I’m in the 82nd Airborne now and even *I* ain’t going to jump school (special position where my boss is the commanding general and told me directly I don’t need wings)… I don’t want that parachute either.
Man. I was talking with a Twins fan today…. have you checked out their team? They would be STACKED if they didn’t have so many players that are obvious clubhouse cancers that don’t like playing baseball and keep getting injured and having surgery to avoid having to play. Byron Buxton, Correa, Royce Lewis and about five other guys are all good but often hurt…. plus they have some really solid no name arms that are very prone to not wanting to play baseball via fun injury and rehab. If that team is ever fully healthy…. sheesh they could be really good.
Way more frustrating than our team, which would be total milk even if they were all healthy.

That was ugly and concerning. Partial redemption by turning two. But that was a poor attempt at fielding a grounder. Ugh. Now I see why people don’t think he will stay there.
I think all I’ll care about, talking about results, will be how well Trout does. As for everybody else I’ll be happy just to see some improvement over the course of the season. If we win 70 games, eh. 75? Great! If we get to see a hopeful future in ’26 or ’27 that’ll be good enough.
That’s because nothing ever pans out. We need nothing to pan out. It is better to feel right about what can go wrong than to have to admit you were wrong if things start to go right. Gotta snuff every ember of hope as early as possible otherwise someone might start feeling lesser than Perry etc.
Vampire defense…..the entire team is afraid of the sun. I know it’s a tough sun, but we have way more trouble with it than the opposing team on a daily basis
i don’t know Jack. Maybe Jeff can interview him, he has been the next best writer after Fletcher this spring and is basically a graduate student in journalism at ASU.
I saw him throw the first time this spring and it was a short distance. Seems to me they are going very very slow with this. It’s not saying much but that first day when I saw him throw a short distance he had heat on the ball, and it’s pretty much as hard as i could throw a baseball ever.
I just get the sneaking suspicion that Arte stopped participation in the Christmas Newport Bay Boat Parade due to fear of torpedoes.
Kingery might have taken his last AB. That was awful AB and defense.

…at least crappy and out of sight of the masses…

I don’t do parachutes. I’m running this into the ground until I hear PULL-UP! PUL-UP! PULL-UP!

If the Dodgers and the Eagles had bad players they’d suck too…. LOL 😆
Embarrassing to watch this shit… how have all the defensive butchers congregated in the same place? Had to be on purpose.
One common denominator, the GM
GMenator?
Free Lugo!
Free the scrubs!!
Inside the park hr!!!
Looks like Moore is in slow motion on defense

very unnatural.
Maldy catching for the Pads

I feel like we’ve said we’re looking forward to a few years down the road for the last decade, yet nothing ever pans out.

JU JU KACHOO baby!
Former Angels doing some damage
And Ballgame
Gold glove Soler
Or copper maybe
Tin
Fools gold
Rust
I mean what doo you expect? This has always been his reputation.
Maybe not to put him out there? I’m all for that. The defense on the roster top to bottom is….bad.
Agree. To go along with mediocre pitching and hitting. But their hair cuts look good!
They’re all super nice guys too.
I kept thinking all February how nice these guys are and what Leo the Lip said about nice guys.
Compared to Ward and J Up? That fits right in here.
TrAdition
Anyone have any ballpark trips planned this season?
Looking at Atlanta and Philly myself, if any (for Angels games, of course).
I better make up my mind quickly. Angels in Seattle for a night game followed by a day game at the end of April
I just looked at their record this spring… YIKES.
Nothing beyond the opening trip which has two good baseball cities but the weather ???
Sacramento.
But does that really count?
Was hoping for both NY teams on the same trip, but No. Hopefully they will do that one of these years

MLB arm strength is at a different level.
Is every sportswriter younger than 40 now a graduate of ASU?
Seems like there is a shit ton.
so far, so good. 2 up, 2 down
