Hello 2025 Angels fans! Have some links to start off the new year!

Is Jo Adell improving? Yes. But how much? A lot actually, according to Baseball Savant via a reddit thread.
2025 is the last year of Ron Washington’s 2 year deal. Will he get an extension? Maybe. Having a lame duck manager is not smart. Not to mention that Perry was extended. But last year was not good. At all. Did he keep them from 100 losses or 70 wins? Results this year will be the judge. He isn’t alone though in limbo in MLB right now.
Will we see more of Moore in 2025? Sports Illustrated thinks so.
Around Baseball
RIP Minute Maid Park. It is now Daikin Park. That is lame, and also won’t work. We still call it Safeco, we still call it Staples, and we will still call it Minute Maid.
Brewers got a last minute Christmas Coal. Fanduel yoinked the rights to their games and they will suffer with a gambling TV service instead of being able to get it in market through MLB like they were going to.
Ice skating in MLB stadiums is a cool winter thing that we are too “winter doesn’t exist” to experience here in SoCal. Chicago gets it though and I admit it looks festive.
To go with that, the Cubs get Caleb Thielbar on a 1 year deal. There isn’t much left for FA.
Not only does Japan have High School Baseball in a Texas football way, they have Girls Baseball as well. It is in Japanese, but, this documentary showcases what Highschool girls Baseball is like in Japan.
January first, time to track the MLB HOF ballot updates. At just less than a quarter of known ballots, it looks like Ichiro is still at 100%, and that CC Sabathia, Billy Wagner, and Carlos Beltran are over the 75% mark. Public ballots are often more big hall, so expect the numbers to go down for the most part, although Ichiro looks safe to get in even if it isn’t unanimous, with CC at a great 89% as well. Andruw Jones is at 73%, so, barring some late push, he will look to go into his 9th year as just missing. K-Rod is at only 10.1% and needs a few more votes to stay on for next year while Torii Hunter is in danger of falling off.
Anything I missed? Post below for upvotes!
If Ichiro isn’t a first rounder, given what he did in both MLB AND NPB, then somebody is on the take.
And given WHO the Cheatstros are, we should call it “Enron Field” again.
Hell, I still call Oracle Park “PacBell Park”.
Happy new year. Let’s change the name.

I was there, the only time I’ve had to don the crappy Ducks jersey thanks to a lost bet. Was cool to see Vin & Bob Miller together.
Almost Rex, great season.
Wow, go Rex!
Plus that 34 yr old Arizona St coach and that guy here in town who just won the NFC West again.
Youth should be served!!!!
💪 💪 💪
41-15…….and counting.
Happy new year all!
2024 was brutal for our Angels. Hopefully we see some improvement in 2025 and a path to a rebuild.
🥳Happy New Year from the Peach Bowl #forksup
ASU was picked LAST in a 16 conference- yet here we are –
Dilly dilly

You just never know what the 2025 MLB will bring us
That’s awesome. Would love an ASU upset. Enjoy.
Have a great time Rex.
We have a 78 yr old who still likes horse mounted cavalry charges.
What a BS no targeting call. Great game, only one of the CFB playoffs so far.
mlb.com likes MNT this year.
Angels: Trout bounces back and returns to MVP form
The prediction here is that Mike Trout finally stays healthy and puts together his first full season since 2019 — and is squarely in the mix for the AL MVP Award. The thought is Trout, 33, will play more corner outfield to stay healthy and will respond with a 40-homer season while also being more aggressive on the bases. Most of his recent injuries have been due to bad luck, such as his left knee injury in ’24 and his hamate fracture on a swing in ’23, but this year will bring better fortune for Trout, who remains signed through 2030. He’s itching to prove he still has plenty left in the tank and this is the year he proves he’s still an MVP-caliber player.
In the mix for AL MVP?
Good thing Ohtani is in the NL.
