LA Angels Wednesday News Crash: National Nightmare lives on

Morning Angels fans, have links.

Angels News

Carson Fulmer and Charles Leblanc are free agents. Both were sent to AAA by the Angels and have chosen to leave instead.

What will the Angels do this offseason? MLB has 7 questions about that.

Around Baseball

Kia Tigers won the Korean Series. Meanwhile in Detroit, a Tigers fan cries over a Monkey’s Paw.

The White Sox have a new manager. Will Venable. Team still sucks though.

Women pro Baseball is back! Northeast 6 teams in 2026. There better be no crying.

Yankees haven’t won a series vs a non AL Central Opponent since 2012. They have lost to the Astros, Red Sox, and Rays in that time span.

The World Series is still going on and I don’t want to talk about it. But, there isn’t really anything else so, lets start with the MFY forcing a game 5.

And the Yankees fan who was kicked out for interfering. Oh and he doubled down on it afterwards. Because of course. Guy is from Connecticut anyway.

Freddie Freeman has hit a home run every game this World Series. It has caused a fan to plead for him to stop.

That is funny I admit

The only way for the Angels to compete next year would be to replace Schanuel for now with someone who can hit in the middle of the order, get a non star glove first 2B and let Moore continue his development, get a RF who can also hit in the middle of the order, add a starting pitcher, and not trade Ward or Rengifo. Adell could play center if you wanted to keep him in the line up and you would have Adams, Mickey, and Lugo? on the bench. They would need some IF subs and need to make sure their bull pen was solid. The 1B and RF would not be stars but 120-130 OPS+ type hitters. It would still probably cost too much. Something like that could tide them over while they’re rebuilding giving Schanuel, Moore, Adell, Kavadas, Fontenelle, and others time to develop. In 2 years Rendon goes off the books and then you’ll hopefully have a nice group of young players ready to go.

There’s no way they can complete if they trade Ward and or Rengifo, and are counting on Adell, Schanuel and Moore next year. I’m not suggesting or recommending this, just making an observation. I do believe they will do something like this but just won’t go as far as they need to to get the players they actually need to make it work.

Trade proposal: We send Tampa Bay all of our players, staff, minor league affiliates AND build them a $100mm roof in exchange for all of their player, staff and Milb affiliates.

Put them in our uniforms and we will be chanting for Brandon Lowe in no time.

Like your thoughts. Maybe throw the checkbook at Christian Walker 1b while everyone bickering over Alonso? Then cheaper filler options Yoan Moncada to replace Rendone and Whit Merrifield to back 2nd base?

I agree with having Schanuel sent down to AAA to develop more and keeping Neeeeeefo.

I understand your thoughts. Reality is Schanuel will be at first, Rengifo should be on the roster, Neto, the two catchers from this year, and all four OFs too. The only questions are 2B and 3B. They are paying a guy over $30 million to play 3B so they may as well let him try. Moore is likely not ready yet for 2B so they need to make some decisions there. Rengifo is obviously one option.

Pitching is the priority. Both starters and bullpen. In season moves will be key if they somehow are in the hunt.

The Yanks were so close to winning games 1 and 2. If this Series is tied at 2-2 it is shaping up as a classic.

This won’t go past 6 and I won’t be surprised at all if it ends tonight.

How about the Yanks win tonight and Friday, then it rains for three or four weeks straight in LA and the series finishes around December.

Try Kings hockey. And please nobody rip on me saying cause I’m an Angel fan I should follow Ducks. Heard that a million times from the other side who say since I like Kings how can I not be a Dodger fan.

And, with my father’s influence, I became a Cleveland Brown fan…….and one day I will seek legal action against him for this.

Same liked the Angels Kings Lakers but never the Rams.

I picked the Cowboys because the Browns beat them in a playoff game in late 60s so they were under dogs

I abandoned them in 1997 because of the owner, and wish I could do that with baseball.

Would not expect some Angel fans on this site would say Yankees have worse fans than Dodgers. Been to many games at Chavez as an opposing fan? I have, and can write a book on the fighting, gangs, harassment, trolling from that fan base. No need to get into that, just need one simple fact: Banned Tailgating. Your own team recognizes the unruly behavior. I get it that NY has rude/arrogant fans that do stupid things, but the D nation is all that too and more.

I have been to more Dodgers games than Yankee games, the Yankees fans are just flat out rude, my first game in NY was in 1967, and it was rude even back then. My last game at Dodger Stadium was in 2012 against the Angels and we were in Angels gear and had no issues. But I do believe that the fans have changed over time and more assaults have been added to the menu of rudeness over there, but bad fans anywhere should not be the norm and I’m glad that MLB has policies that they stick to when dealing with morons.

Yes, bad fans can exist anywhere, and different places can have more than others. I get free Dodger tickets from wealthy relatives. Can’t wear any of my jerseys, usually just a cap which I remove when using the restrooms. I never cheer loudly, keep to myself. More about courtesy, it’s the Dodgers house. No need to attract aggressive behavior.

I have a good friend whose family has great season seats at the Latrine. When I go with him and sit in the good seats and have the priority parking, I will wear my gear.

I would never consider doing so under any other circumstances. That parking lot is scary. Like really scary. And as you said, things can get nutty in the bathroom.

There are several types of bad. I think the average Yanks fan is more rude, but the fringe Dodger fans are far more likely to physically harm somebody.

Fans have changed over time, GB. Much like the game. Just look at posters here who believe their fandom is a jihad.

Must.
Hate.
All.
Things.
Not.
Sainted Perfect Angels who everyone conspires against to keep us in suck.

Line of death in the sand, and all that. Pages of butthurt fans complaining players don’t stay or sign because zOMGTROUTANDTEHBEACHANDTHEMONKEY!!!!!

I kinda sorta hope the Yankees pull it out, not because I am a fan of them, just to see the heads explode here, and the endless “MLB fixed it that way” complaints like they all got felt up in the limo again on the way to the Prom.

I know a dumber one, Angel fan reaching over and hitting SF outfielder Reggie Sanders with inflatable rally stick as he is fielding Garret Anderson’s double game 7 in 2002.. That could have been called interference. How stupid was that

It looked like they were keeping his feet off the ground and the guy with the glove was bending his wrist over the edge of the wall at a bad angle.

MLB only has seven questions for the Angels? Let’s do the math: nine positions, subtract Neto and O’Hoppe, and we’re at seven, makes sense, I guess.
I know it’s just one loss for that team against the MFYs, but I was really looking forward to videos of MFY fans in tears last night. And seriously, shouldn’t grabbing a baseball player while they’re on the field mean prison time? The guy actually planned it with friends beforehand! Time to get tougher on stupid.

Well, at least that’s battery, by two dudes. I think MLB bans people from MLB parks for life for that kind of crap. It is not plausible that they simply thought they were fighting amongst themselves for a ball out of play.

Mookie could sue in civil court, probably for battery and false imprisonment. The guys just weren’t letting go of him until they finished their dirty deed.

Under pressure from MLB, the Skanks were forced to ban the two idiots from Game 5. Poor look for the Yankees, but what would you expect from that classless organization. At least for this series, I hope the Doyers win.

I was thinking along the same lines of civil suit as well. watching the replays at different sites shows a malice intent no doubt. Bought wrists could have been seriously injured along with the left hand. The heavy-set guy pulling at the glove reminded me of a cartoon character and was a bit scarry was he not?

Let’s be honest, “SOME” doyer fans are dangerous. I have never encountered a Yankee or Red Sux’s fan that felt unsafe. And every fan base has a percentage of criminals, like in any group…….but the Doyers, we are talking about a much larger percentage of Doyer fans (including WOMEN) are disgusting, dangerous, thugs.

The rare NYY fan can be unsafe… have not encountered one myself though… DEFINITELY a lot of Boston fans that are unsafe. Lots of drunken Southies looking to start a fight in Bawstan.

And for Dodger fans, it is not just about being dangerous. Alot of them are just arrogant and entitled pricks.

I still think dozens of Doyers fans throwing things at players is worse than 2 idiots making an in the moment decision to affect a play in their face. This WS has zero appeal to me in what has been one of the worst baseball seasons I can remember.

Six World Series games in a row hitting a HR is just amazing as Freddie Freeman was asked by a fan to please stop it referring to hitting HRs with a sign stating same. Funny stuff Dept. 😀

He is one of only a few Dodgers I don’t dislike.Kershaw and Betts are probably the other two (Ohtani is of course excluded; he is not a real Dodger in my book).

Philly fans are considered by many to be the worst in Major League Baseball with many claiming they would boo their Gramma for not throwing an opponent’s HR ball far enough back to the field, but they have nothing on New York fans. New York Yankee fans even support the actions by that Dumb and Dumber duo. One fan interviewed in a New York eatery suggested, ready for this, that the Dodgers brought it upon themselves because starting with the 1959 World Series they started the fashion statement of no longer adorning the wearing of dress shirt and suit and ties! I can’t stand NY fans, NY teams Mets, Yankees, Knicks, Jets, Giants. Booing Shohei is one thing, but dang near breaking Mookie’s wrist is completely over the top, just unacceptable IMHO.
