3-2 Tigers
Okay, so maybe I’m listening to our guys in the booth a bit too much. In my defense, it’s gotten to the point where it’s preferable on a daily basis to watching the field. I couldn’t stop hearing about the inherent value of Griffin Canning eating innings the past two seasons and why that would make it worthwhile to bring him back next season. Literally anyone can swallow up innings. Give me league minimum to throw away the next 5 years, for the love of God.
I’m so glad that I was irritated enough by the play-by-play to have missed Spencer Torkelson mashing one to put the Tigers up by two in the bottom of the second. And I was so busy seething about their discussion, that I almost missed us only scoring 2 unearned runs off over 4 innings of literally the worst pitcher in Major League Baseball in Kenta Maeda.
You wanna know a more interesting stat than whatever I could talk about that happened in the game? We are twenty-four times as many games below .500 against the Central, East, and NL as we are against the AL West. If anything, we should count the “close” game as a win and celebrate.
Good job on the bomb Mickey.
