The Angels went to Washington. No. The District. Of Columbia. Not the one with the Columbian river. Anyway, it was Rendon’s old home. Back when he played Baseball. Remember when he played Baseball? That was fun. I think both the Angels and Nats regretted Rendon leaving. The Nats have had 19 different 3B since he left. And the Angels have only had 28. What.
But he wasn’t pitching. That was Soriano. He went 6 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits striking out 7 and walking 1. Great start yet again for the young pitcher.
Too bad the offense didn’t do much and the Angels lost 3-2 in extras.
Highlighted Recap
DC scored first in the first.
But the Angels answered with 2 in the second! Thanks Jo Adell!
It was a pitching duel otherwise. Oddly fitting for a game vs 2 not that good teams. Both longing for the past glory.
Too bad Quijada blew it in the 8th, allowing the Nats to tie the game.
Both teams could do nothing else the rest of the game. Meaning EXTRA INNINGS TIME!
Rendon went 3-5 but struck out in the 10th with RISP. Shaking my head, Rendon of the Angels.
And then in extras, the Nats walked it off Joyce. Angels lose. I blame Rendon for this.
Upcoming
More games vs the Nats next two games. Maybe we can leave Rendon with them. Swap with Corbin? Maybe next year.
