LA Angels Thursday News Crash: $151 Burger

The big news for today is that you can buy a $151 burger at an Atlanta Braves game.

Mike Trout is getting better and the Angels expect him to be in the lineup this evening. Is Anthony Rendon one of the six most crucial players in the 2022 season? He just needs to stay healthy is all. Here is another of those articles about whether Arte Moreno will be able to convince Shohei Ohtani to remain an Angel.

Hey! The Orioles selected Anthony Bemboom. Greg Holland made the Rangers opening day roster. The Rangers apparently flushed Jake Marisnick and the Pirates signed him. The Guardians extended infielder Jose Ramirez. Meanwhile the Astros extended Ryan Pressley and the Rays extended Manuel Margot. The Brewers and Padres swapped some catchers which the Brewers followed by acquiring yet another catcher, Alex Jackson, from the Marlins.

C.C. Sabathia is now the Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Major League Baseball.

Todd Frazier retired.

Certificate expired and there was a typo in the new one so sorry for the errors you are all getting. It’s been fixed and will update in 30 minutes to 24 hours (usually it’s pretty fast).

I started in 2018 predicting who would not only surprise us in the coming season but what they may lead the team in a category. In 2018 I posted that I thought that Fletcher would lead the team in Hits (He did), Doubles (He did) and runs scored (He finished 2nd). Moving on to 2019 I went with Fletcher again with leading the team in Hits, Doubles and average (3for 3). In 2020 I chose Sandoval to lead the team in wins and ERA and came up snake eyes and in 2021 I went with Marsh breaking out and leading in SB, well that didn’t work out either.

So here we are in 2022 opening day and I believe Fletch will lead in hits and Thor in Wins and Marsh in SB and Triples.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

GO ANGELS!

Does Joe do this shit to annoy the fans, or did he just not pass line-ups 101?

Nothing Ho Hum about a six-year-old walking where the Player’s are not allowed to throw, while walking with Dad to get an autograph and ending up with brain damage. So I hope that was sarcasm on your part.

Definitely not ho hum. This is devastating for the family and child.

As a father of a non-neurotypical child from birth, I can’t imagine this kind of thing happening AFTER 6 years of typical development.

I hope they clean up in the lawsuit, but it won’t erase the damage by a long shot.

Not that Cowboy needs my assistance…

It’s commentary on the Angels spending a lot time in court, more than most teams….Stadium deals, players dying from an OD, City council issue, etc…..

And here it is opening day 2022 and we have another lawsuit. Not talking about the injured kid.

Lefty Valdez going for the Astros. Otherwise it would be Walsh.

agreed. That’s the oddest part of the lineup. Upton would have fit in there well. Still no idea where he’ll end up.

Yeah, I would have liked to keep Upton for April at least.

I do not like
who you hit at 4

I do not like
your odd revolving line-up-door

I do not like
thinking you might be snorting blow

I do not like
questioning you Soggy Joe

So here’s the biggest irony with this line up . In 10 career PA’s vs Valdez, Walshie is 4 for 8 with a walk, double and Home Run and only 1 strikeout.

Yeah, I saw this the other day and was quite surprised.

I did not remember Walshie being this good against lefties. It is of course a small sample size. We’ll see how he does tonight…

He doesn’t hit lefties well. He just happens to hit that lefty.
….but as you stated, small sample size, 10 AB’s

I wish he was full time and traveled with Gubi to all away games. But having Patrick works out fine too. But I wish Patrick and Gubi traveled to away games as having Matt doing games from NYC just doesn’t feel right to me.

He’s a better pitcher than Daniel Ortega. And I think he has a better fastball than Fidel Castro.
