Anthony Rendon to the 10 Day IL for strained groin

Anthony Rendon’s groin is painful enough to cause him to go to the IL. Maddon hopes it is just 10 days but, this is the Angels. The team already suggested it was just a day to day injury yesterday.

This is a big blow to the Angels offense. Jose Rojas and David Fletcher will now play 3rd until at least there is a roster move. Expect Taylor Ward or Luis Rengifo in the coming days.

Rendon was batting .290/.378/.387 with 1 home run in his 8 games this season thus far. Other players will need to step up to fill the void in the lineup. Just hope that he will be back soon and this doesn’t spiral more out of control.

Why can’t we ever just have things go right??? Seriously. .Finally off to a good start for like the first time in what feels like forever and now two regulars go down. Where can we find the person with the Angels voodoo doll and put an end to this madness.

I think the other 2 posters (as I write this) are overreacting. I suspect, given it’s the Angels, Rendon will be back by September 1st as the first player to ever play – and hit .275 – after groin removal surgery.

Next story will be that his leg has fallen off.
