Ohtani leads off vs the Rangers on a day with half backups.
Only a few days left until the season starts, last chance for guys to impress!

Heaney pitches like that and it’s not going to be a fun season. Although that is really how he has pitched for the last 5 years.
I kind of feel that leaving the field with two outs is not baseball.
Seeing Jeremiah Jackson always reminds me of Jahmai Jones.
We are going to need a lot of offense this season.
Outside of Bundy, our starters will be lucky (as in every other start like Heaney) to get 4 quality innings before reaching 90 pitches. Our long relievers are going to get worn out early in the season. I don’t want to see the above story get played 4-5 games a week.
The game is so boring the announcers are playing trivia
Shoulda been 6-5 though
Ward has done everything possible to make this team. The Fowler acquisition is looking to be a poor one right now. I’d much rather have Ward than Dexter in right field.
There are so many guys I want in RF over Fowler on the team and that he will get it anyway is sad.
Blake is halfway to the cycle. WOW
Heaney almost got it too but failed to give up the Triple today
Maybe if he gets HBP and charges the mound we can call it a Gordy Howe cycle.
Ward runs really well for an Ex-catcher
Thank you Delino DeShields
Good New Angel Fans Ty Buttrey has not 1 but 2 options left!
Can Buttrey manage to get an out?
Guess not.
Sure, 4th batter is the charm
In fairness, Jonah Heim is not his fault.
I know I am not a Heaney fan so could we replace him with Rodriguez or Detmers
Poor Rengifo’s ba goes down due to sacrifice that wasn’t (thank you Stassi)
Super high pitch count has always been Heaney’s downfall. This is why I keep harping about multi inning relievers.
I think in the regular season a start like this would be followed by 2 innings of Pena or Guerra to see if we set up the traditional bullpen.
Heaney doesn’t look like a guy playing for a big FA contract
Now this is the Heaney that I have known the last 5 seasons
TrAdition
That hurts.
Ohtani batting average down to .625 now. OPS only 1.778
Trade ’em.
What was Stassi doing on that bunt? He should have been at third and then would have scored on Ohtani’s single.
Sutton is OK, but I do miss Rojas already.
Nice to see Taylor Ward hanging in there. Jon Jay continues to depress.
Jay is taking AB’s from guys trying to make the team. At 36 yrs old I don’t see that adding another aged OF is going to improve us
