The Angels tied the White Sox 4:4 today in a short 5 inning game.
The Good
Shohei Ohtani went 2 for 3 at the plate and Mike Trout was 1 for 1 with a walk. Albert Pujols was 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Jose Iglesias was 1 for 2 with the other two RBIs.
The Bad
Justin Upton and Dexter Fowler both went 0 for 2 with two strikeouts each. Come on guys!
The Ugly
Luke Bard now has an earned run average of 108.00. Egad!

5 inning game! Now who does that? The Angels do. 4-4 tie, wow exciting to stay undefeated.
Just curious- why is it exciting to be undefeated? These are games where the manager can pull pitchers and end innings after 20 pitches. It’s a whole ‘mother level of meaningless as compared to prior Springs. I am with you that it’s fun to watch baseball again. And it’s nice to see players get ready for the season. But wins and losses are particularly meaningless right now.
Is this a good spot to ask what the best way to get ST tickets are? stubhub is pricey and mostly 4 ticket min purchases; angels.com is sold out, etc
I want to take my 3 year old son to games on 3/23 and 3/24 but you have to buy your tickets in pods of 4 for the best deal. We will be driving from SoCal. I am vaccinated (will wear a mask) and my son knows how to wear one as well.
Anyone have any recommendations or want to pair up in a pod for better priced tickets? There are helpful posts here on Tempe Stadium I’ve used and last year a gentleman actually gave me 2 tickets to a ST game so I know this community is/can be very helpful.
It feels good to have Angels baseball on TV. I’ve enjoyed reading the articles (Halos Heaven has nothing to offer) and comments. I’d love to go see them, just point me in the right direction 🙂
Our Johnny on the spot photographer, Rex Fregosi, says you have to buy a whole Pod and the prices are exorbitant even for lawn seating.
That’s what I’ve seen. Obviously there are a lot less people at each game. Seems like some pods are going empty on TV and seeing the amount of resale online. Maybe things will work out and we can get out there this year or they will allow fans at dodgers v angels ST games.
Just climb the Mountain behind Left Field for best priced seats. You also get an on TV spot guaranteed.

Tempe Diablo was selling pairs of tickets if you sat in the stands. it was only for lawn seats you have to buy 4 tix.
As you mentioned, the Angels are sold out but keeping checking back because they say every 48 hours before a game, there will be tickets released that were held for players/umpires etc. You just need to be diligent about checking at the Angels site – there WILL be more there, just sporadic and in small quantities.
I hear most other teams are sold out too – in fact, the Angels may have been one of the last ones to sell out.
But if you have to, third party resellers would be the last choice – the only thing i can offer is you should be able to find a pair and not have to buy 4. They were sold as pairs and i bought pairs ($35/each for 1B line for the Giants – there is variable proce seating so they adjust that according to the team/date, etc.
Good luck – i only bought for two games at Diablo and one game at Hohokam – all pairs – and i think i should have bought more!

I saw the original email from angels.com about ST tickets but didn’t jump on it earlier unfortunately. It was a pain to get my money back last year for tickets purchased (they did eventually refund in June?) so I probably a little hesitant to buy. Seeing them on TV and going through family pictures of us at games make me want to go that much more now.
Never been a Bard fan. I hope he is not a part of the big club once camp is over. Talk about a storied history of being unclutch.
Upton is just awful and has been for the better part of 2 seasons (when he was playing) I would almost prefer two seasons of Pujols over two more of this downer.
Ohtani looked much more comfortable at the plate today than he did all last season.
