Well, I know we got a little lucky with Clevinger leaving early. Nonetheless it was a nice two game sweep of a good Padres team.

He and Buttrey have been the biggest BS culprits. He has three and Buttrey has four.
This is no hill for a climber and we are climbing up the standings.
Why not do this before the inning? Now you have to bring in a reliever with someone on. Is there a reason he wanted Mayers specifically for Hosmer?
I think if he had gotten Hosmer he would have kept him in.
I do, too. But I guess my point is that if you were going to feel comfortable bringing in Pena with a runner on and you were going to have a quick trigger with Mayers, why not just give Pena the clean inning?
