And Sandy for the win

I don’t know who Nick Margevicius is. Sounds like a failed punk rocker. But I hope he pitches the game of his life today.

Well, I know we got a little lucky with Clevinger leaving early. Nonetheless it was a nice two game sweep of a good Padres team.

17-9 since the low point of the season. 17 and freakin’ 9.

Hey, whatever it takes. I would imagine we’ll only see a few innings of the Dodgers’ starters. And while their bullpen is good, too, they’ll be using the bottom half of it a decent amount to keep arms fresh.

I have to say, I don’t feel great about Pena here.

He and Buttrey have been the biggest BS culprits. He has three and Buttrey has four.

This is no hill for a climber and we are climbing up the standings.

Why not do this before the inning? Now you have to bring in a reliever with someone on. Is there a reason he wanted Mayers specifically for Hosmer?

I think if he had gotten Hosmer he would have kept him in.

I do, too. But I guess my point is that if you were going to feel comfortable bringing in Pena with a runner on and you were going to have a quick trigger with Mayers, why not just give Pena the clean inning?

And Mayers at 20 pitches now so….does he go out in the 9th? Or will we see Buttrey? 3 run lead…yikes
