Sell whom? Nobody would want anyone but Bundy or Fletch. Maybe a bag of balls for some bullpen pieces.

I’ve lost track of our record…gonna be 7-15? Something like that.

Yep. That’is the equivalent of starting the season 17-38

Baseball historians are going to look back and wonder how this organization could fail to build a decent team around the best player in baseball for a solid decade.

Dan Patrick already brings this up weekly during the season. And how bad Pujols’s contract was/is.

So did Max Kellerman when he was still at the 4 letter station here in town. Seems like Arte and Billy are just damm scared and frightened reactionary’s to the Dodgers and everybody else in the AL West.

it’s happened before……..Don Mattingly and Ernie Banks take a bow.
it starts at the top…..same place where a dead fish rots. Arte outta be ashamed……not only the Dodgers, but we also have 3 storied NCAA Baseball programs in the area too that have done better. USC, CS Fullerton, and UCLA.

Did you know that in 1982 Rod Carew had a 25 game hitting streak, or that Garret Anderson had a 23 game hitting streak in 2008, or that 10 years earlier Garrett set the team record a 28 game hitting streak. So if Fletcher does break the record he will join some big names in Angels history.

I love the comments “we are very close contending..just pitching better away”… that’s like 13 roster spots and half the game. This team is like 8 pitchers away and based in supply and deman that’s 4 years away in which Trout and Rendon will be approaching mid 30s . Folks this is a serious crisis and everyone wants to give Eppler a free pass. There is an argument this is the worst organization in baseball.

I’m blaming Arte. Bet Billy does better in his next job

Tough to get a second chance after falling once. Exception was Jedi though and arguably he is doing better the second time.

In order to blame Arte you’d have to assume that he micromanages at all levels such as scouting, drafting, player development, minor league coaching, athletic training, analytics. Arte throws huge money at pricey free agents . But there are plenty of cheap ass teams that have built league average pitching.

or you could say his firing of key personnel sets us back

I really feel sorry for Trout. His prospects for being on a contending team seem to diminish, not improve, each season.

There are people here that were defending Eppler’s moves in the offseason, even over the past couple seasons. With the exception of Bundy, every pitcher this moron has signed has been absolute garbage. Our rotation is garbage and our pen is garbage. Unless a miracle happens, this team isn’t going to be contending for at least 2-3 years but they better start making some changes now and that begins with firing Eppler.

looking for something good in this I see Jo’s average is becoming ok-ish. I’d like to see some extra base hits, too.

He needs to stop getting on top of the ball for that to happen

I called it! As you may or not remember, I said way back when, down 3-1, we could get those runs back. And we did!

L didn’t think about that. Maybe we can hire the Doyers staff and move them down the freeway.

Well Seattle is still in the way, we just can’t help ourselves as we keep beating them.

I guess Roberts thought the Doyers would lose the game without a pitching change.

What is the Angels hitting streak record?

JackFrost

I want to say Carew; I remember one streak in 80’ or 81’ that was in the 30 something range…Or maybe it was high 20’s but it was up there.

Begs the question that Turk’s Teeth needs to answer
WTF caused Billy Eppler to bypass Dustin May and Shane Bieber who was right under our noses ( UC Santa Barbara ) no less back in the 2016 MLB Draft?
