Cardinals are birds. They are also high ranking members of the Catholic Church. Both should be below Angels in these type of things. Yet the Cards have had the much better time. Not even just recently either. At least we got the Rams back from St. Louis.
Seriously though, they got the most out of Pujols, traded their WS star to the Angels right when he became useless, and got double the WS wins and many more appearances in just the time since the Angels won it in 2002. Man I hate them and their smug fanbase.
Anyway, Soriano was on the bump tonight. He went 7 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits striking out 7 and walking 1. I’ll take that. What I won’t take is this broadcast. I mean come on ESPN, remember who you are. Or… Were… Ughh.
I also hate this hitting yet another game of 2 or fewer runs. And the 1 run through 8 was a solo home run. Because again we cannot have nice pitching and good hitting at the same time. This team is infuriating.
