And Soriano had tried. He really did. Sadly, the 6th happened. He went 5+ innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, 2 of those runs were inherited, as the Mariners scored 5 in the 6th, turning this game from a pitching duel to a “Angels bullpen ruins everything again” game.
Not that the offense helped. The fact that it was 0-0 in the 6th means the Angels failed to do anything at the plate as well. At least until AFTER the mariners scored 5 in the 6th…

It was a pitching duel between Aces, although the Mariners had multiple, and Soriano has not looked like one as of late. Still, it was scoreless through 5, and it was great for pitching fans… until the 6th, when Soriano got BABIP-ed to death.
