After the bottom of the fifth, it was 6-5 Angels. The Rangers managed to tie the game up again in the sixth inning. Everybody just kept scoring early. Mike Trout hit several home runs. Then in the seventh inning, Marcus Semien then jacked a two run homer off of Reid Detmers to make it 8-6 Texas.
Rengifo got on on an infield play in the bottom of the seventh inning. Zach Neto singled on a liner to center field. The Angels were able to score two runs on a Mike Trout sacrifice fly advancing runners and a Taylor Ward single. 8-8 tie game. In the bottom of the eighth, Yoan Moncada singled through to the left side to lead off the inning. Jorge Soler launched a homer about 421 astronomical units. 10-8 Angels.
Zach Neto singled, stole second, and then ran on home on what was kind of a mirror image hit and run play. 11-8 Angels.
Corey Seager got a one out double to left. Marcus Semien gave the Angels the second out they were looking for. Adolis Garcia struck out swinging to end the game. The Angels won 11-8.

DJ LeMahieu (2nd basemen, but can play 3rd and 1st) has just been DFA’d by Yankees, who will eat $22M for the rest of his contract.
If he clears waivers, Angels could get him and only owe ~$870,000 for this year.
LeMahieu – an aging veteran with declining stats who can play multiple positions, while not costing a lot of money.
Checks a number of boxes for the Angels.
He is hitting .266 which would put him near the very top of batting averages on the Angels. The question is whether the Angels want to keep Moore up and let him try to develop at the MLB level. If they plan to send him down, then this signing would make a lot of sense for the rest of the year.
Have to remember that as a Yankee he was getting the benefit of all those close calls on ball or strike, thus raising his BA. He won’t be getting those calls as an Angel.
Thus, LeMahieu is not as good as that .266 average might otherwise indicate…
Wow you’re right, quite a bit difference per UmpScorecards.
NYY have been gifted 10 runs this year in aggregate, 5th most in baseball. LAA have been robbed of 7 total runs this year, 7th worst in baseball.
The reason the Yankees let him go is that his defense is no longer good. He has lack of mobility issues that severely limit his range and he didn’t want to be a bat only guy.
well. We can still complain about the pitching giving up eight runs. we still have that.
Damn bastards even took strike outs from us, only had two tonight.
It’s a bad night to be a bitch….
Reports of Trout’s demise are greatly exaggerated!
Never a doubt!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol. I had 4 “ah shit, here we go again” moments.
Just 4?
One for each laughing smiley.
Jose Fermin is quickly becoming one of my favorite pitchers. He Nasty.
100 MPH-Yikes!
I can’t believe we won that, very happy we did.
Schanny’s RBI was important because otherwise Texas would have had the tying run at-bat. Instead, less stress on Kenley
Total waste of a 1st round pick….
IKR…..
A note from an old friend showed up in my FB memories. Apparently, he was one of Schanny’s coaches in little league.
What a fooking win. We are all witnesses.

I saw her open for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Brooklyn back in April.
Oh man…what a night that must have been. Annie one of my time favs.
What a freaking game – LT👶U!
45-47 with 4 games left before the ASB. The 🧲 back to .500 feels somewhat inevitable at this point haha
Wild ass win dude.
Trouty with two Homers. Every hitter in the line had a hit. every player with a run or RBI.
A team win
45-47. I expected, way back when the season started, we’d be more like 35-57. This is a bonus season
Seriously. House money. They’ve already had more fortitude wins than the past two years.
Yup. even our losses are more fun than a lot of the wins we had last year. Them boys keep coming even if they sometimes run out of innings.
Trouts Done!
Put a Fork in him!
😄
LTBU!

WE WIN!!!
