There were a few regrettable plays on both sides today. Brewers pitcher Thomas Pannone balked in the Angels winning run in the person of Hunter Renfroe. Pannone also threw a wild pitch in the same inning that advanced Gio Urshela to third, but the Angels couldn’t drive him in. Chase Silseth threw a wild pitch to advance a runner to second and then Anthony Rendon made a throwing error to advance that guy to third. That guy eventually scored. To Silseth’s credit, he picked off the guy who reached first on the Rendon error. Jordyn Adams was caught stealing second base to end the seventh inning.
Loup pitched a clean inning as did Tepera. Eric Torres gave up three walks in one inning while Jose Quijada added two more in his one inning of work. It seemed like both sides were specializing in four pitch walks or three pitch strikeouts.

Ohviously the Angels are the superior organization and clearly we are set to win multiple Super Bowls this year. Andrew Wantz will win Cy Young. I like Hunter Renfroe. I already did, but I like him more now. Anthony Rendon had a throwing error so he is clearly finished as a 3B. Chase Silseth is a bust because we can’t develop players. He is also certainly finished. Mike Trout.
mike. trout.
Still rather have Polar Bear Petey, (2022 MLB rbi leader) but can he hit lefties yet? In bold so you’ll never forget! 💪 💪
I wont if 2023 Walshie is 2021 Walshie.
Gio can handle first base against those pesky left handers
Still waiting for that IIWPM from you. Can’t wait to see the GMing masterpiece that lives deep deep deep inside you.
I didn’t catch a single second of this one, but hooray for another meaningless spring win!
Yeah, it’s hard to get excited about Spring wins but it’s good to see some of the new guys producing. I’ll be more excited if they continue to do that after the season starts.
Love Brett Phillips stealing the Postgame interview!
Too bad he can’t hit.
He can’t pitch either but at least he’ll be good for clubhouse morale.
