The Angels needed to win 3 games to avoid losing 90 this season. Not an easy task, especially since the Angels, you know, suck. And their 6 remaining games are against the Royals and then the Astros. Needing to win at least one of these series is tough, worse when the Astros are on the outside looking in, needing every game. Which means that the Angels needed to somehow beat the Royals, or else end their season as pathetic losers who last won a series back Sept 8-10th against the Twins. But hey, these Royals aren’t the same as mid 2010’s Royals. Hell, the Angels even beat them last time in KC. Surely they can do so again?
Well, it would depend on how well the pitching goes. Sam Aldegheri was on the bump today, which was already not a good sign. And he went 4 and 2/3 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, striking out 3, and walking 2. Play the kids, yes. Expect them to be good? HAHA, no.
Highlighted Recap
The Angels started by gifting a run on a wild pitch in the 1st.
And then why not allow another as well.
2-0 was bad, but at least that wasn’t that big of a hill to climb, and there it stayed, until he allowed a 3rd run in the 5th.
There had to be SOME Angel highlight. How about a Teo catch?
Oh fine, he also hits a home run as well, his first EVER
Too bad the bullpen kept allowing runs. Like, a lot of runs. And stolen bases. Yeah, it got ugly in the late innings. No need to show you. but Ward hit a meaningless hr in the 9th.
And, uh, they were also gifted a run by a passed ball.
Angels lose 8-4.
Upcoming
